With these three movements, you'll quickly be able to form a cylinder and from there, anything you desire. Your host Robert Briggs takes you step-by-step through the Raku pottery throwing experience by discussing the types of tools required, the differences in the various clays used for throwing, and preparing your work area. This DVD is fully indexed and searchable, so the student can jump or return to a section of interest. The video takes the student through several camera angles of the procedures with cutaways to graphics showing the positions and how to apply the techniques. This isn't just someone throwing a pot and expecting you to follow. There are also sections for shaping and trimming your piece when you have learned to throw basic forms. |
